Welcome to the Happy Valley Moms Blog! Happy Valley Moms was founded in February 2007 by Jill Sanderson, originally as a Yahoo! board and later transitioned into a Facebook group. After Jill moved out of the area she passed the group down to a small team of local moms who have continued to maintain and grow the Facebook group. The HVM Blog is a free resource for parents and other community members in and around State College, PA.

Each of the HVM admins has children ranging in ages and grades. We are all local to the area and have varying perspectives in parenting. Some of us work full time, part time, or take on the challenging task of stay at home mom. No matter our parenting style, we come together and lift each other up for support. This is what we hope for the HVM parenting community as well.

If you are an expecting parent, new parent, seasoned parent, or a grandparent in and around the State College, PA region, we welcome moms and dads to join our online community. Our primary goal is to support one another during our parent journey as we all have something to offer to each other. The HVM Facebook group has a wide range of moms and dads who can offer insight on various adventures in parenthood, from newborn sleep to seeing your kids off to college.
